Upset over Crop Loss, Loan Burden Farmer commits suicide in Jajpur Dist

ONI Bureau:  Unable to repay the loan, a debt-ridden farmer of Mangrajpur village in Jajpur district allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a rope in his farm.

The deceased farmer has been identified as Gouranga Bal have taken loans from banks, micro finance organisation and private money lenders that he unable to repay due to crop loss.

He was reportedly under mental stress due to the loan burden so taken the extreme step late last night, said his wife Rashmita Bala.
