Utkal Varsity students block NH over RD University’s 2nd Campus

ONI Bureau:  Utkal University students blocked National Highway near Vani Vihar Square protesting Govt’s proposal to give space to Rama Devi (RD) Women’s University at Utkal Varsity premises in Vani Vihar.

Hundreds of students on Thursday staged a dharna, burning tyres, shouted slogans against the State government over the decision to set up second campus of RD Women’s University at Utkal Varsity premises.

They also demanded transfer of Higher Education Department’s secretary and vice-chancellor of Utkal University.
