Vigilance Sleuths arrest OSRTC ASM Ashok Panda

imageAshok Kumar Panda, Asst. Station Master, OSRTC, Angul, has been arrested by the Vigilance officials of Cuttack Division in connection with graft charges levelled against him by Gouranga Charan Sahu of Birabarpur village in Cuttack district.

The case was registered against Ashok Panda on 27th December after the complainant alleged that he demanded a bribe of Rs 2,000 to make his contractual driving job permanent.

As per the direction of S.P. Vigilance, Cuttack Division, the Vigilance unit of Angul, laid the trap for the OSRTC ASM, who was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe in the office of DTM (Admn.), OSRTC, Angul. The bribe money of Rs.2,000 was recovered from his shirt pocket in the present of witnesses.

His hand & shirt pocket wash gave positive chemical reaction confirming acceptance of bribe money. His residential house in Pattamundai is being raided by the Vigilance officials.
