Villagers kill Old Man for suspected Sorcery

Gajapati, Oct 14: In a shocking incident, an old man was allegedly killed by villagers suspecting him of practicing witchcraft. According to reports, the incident took place at Badama Singh village in Gajapati district. In the incident, Gopal Sabara was beaten to death by few villagers for practicing sorcery. Police reached the spot and seized the body , sent for postmortem. While investigating into the murder case, two persons were detained by the police. It is reported that, the two arrested persons – Gangadhar Bhuian and Narayan Sabar had called Gopal Sabara from his house and taken him to an isolated are in Kainpur on Monday night, where they beaten him to death.
