VK Pandian visits Cuttack bustand ahead of its shifting

5T Secretary VK Pandian visited the bus terminal at Badambadi, Cuttack, as it is set to be shifted to Khan Nagar. The visit by Pandian, who is also the private secretary to CM, reviewed the terminal at 4am in the morning, in his surprise visit.

In order to reduce the increasing traffic in the area, the Odisha government is pondering upon the idea of moving the historic Badambadi bus stand to Khan Nagar area of Cuttack.

5T Secretary VK Pandian went to the Badambadi bus stand to review the preparations. Other officials who joined him in the visit included District Collector Bhabani Chayani, Central Region Revenue Divisional Commissioner Anil Samal, Twin City Police Commissioner Sudhansu Sarangi, Cuttack DCP Akhileswar Singh and OSRTC CMD Arun Bothra among others.

Informing media on their visit and plans for Cuttack, RDC Anil Samal said, “We have come here to review the decongestion plan for Cuttack. A master plan will be prepared for turning the land near Khan Nagar to a modern bus stand.”
