West Bengal’s CPI (ML) Red Star leader Alik Chakraborty arrested in Bhubaneswar

ONI Bureau: The most wanted Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Red Star leader arrested from a private hospital in Bhubaneswar during a joint operation by Odisha and West Bengal police on Thursday.

The CPI(ML) member has been identified as Alik Chakraborty. He had been leading the anti-power grid agitation in Bhangar in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal last year that witnessed violence resulting death of one person.

As per report over 50 cases are pending against him in different police stations in West Bengal.
