INS Bureau: A 15-member delegation of the Central Action Committee (CAC) today met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat to discuss their demand for establishment of a permanent bench of the Orissa High Court in Western Odisha.
The CAC urged the CM to approach the Centre for permanent High Court bench. The CM assured to write a strong letter to the Centre in this matter.
Earlier last month, Sambalpur District Bar Association staged black-flag protest during Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera’s visit to the district, scuffled with Police alleging Govt’s negligence over the establishment of a permanent bench of Orissa High court in western Odisha.
