Wi-Fi Connectivity at Bhubaneswar Railway Station from Jan 2016

Bhubaneswar, Nov 13: Good news for train passengers as they will be getting free Wi-Fi facility at Bhubaneswar Railway Station (BBS) from January 2016. As per the officials, the facility will be available at free of cost for first 30 minutes of usage and beyond that prescribed limit of usage, users need to pay for the service.

Major stations including Bhubaneswar, Puri and Visakhapatnam under the East Coast Railway (ECoR) jurisdiction will get the high-speed connectivity. The facility will be available at all 28 railways stations under ECoR jurisdiction and out of these 20 railway stations are located in Odisha.

The authorities have divided these 28 stations into categories in order provide Wi-Fi facilities accordingly. Out of these 28, 3 stations would come under category A1, where passengers are likely to get high-speed Wi-Fi facility. And, rest 10 and 15 would come under A and B category respectively.

The infrastructure work at BBS is in full swing and it is ascertained that it would be get the connectivity by January 2016.

Similarly, other major stations – Cuttack, Sambalpur, Bhadrak, Rayagada, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road and Khurda Road- under ECoR are also likely to start Wi-Fi connectivity facility very soon.
