Wildfire causes Damage at Similipal Forest Reserve in Odisha

A major wildfire has engulfed the Similipal forest reserve in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district, causing widespread damage to the birds, animals and plantations and posing a big threat to the ecosystem. The fire started at the Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) a week ago and is spreading fast. Efforts are on to douse the fire.
