Wildlife Activist Biswajit Mohanty appointed Chairman of Greenpeace India

ONI Bureau:  Noted wildlife activist Biswajit Mohanty has been appointed as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Greenpeace India. The Greenpeace India has legally registered society in four locations with Bengaluru has its headquarters.

Biswajit Mohanty did his Ph.D in wildlife poaching. He has been actively working for wildlife and environment protection since 1994.

Mohanty coordinated ‘Operation Kachhapa’, a Wildlife Protection Society of India (WPSI) initiative, launched in September 1998 to reduce turtle mortality and to safeguard the future of the species in the Odisha coast.
