Will invest Rs 2 lakh crore in Odisha by 2019: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who came on a day long visit to Bhubaneswar on Friday, attended the Vikas Parv or Vikas Utsav and addressed the intellectuals’ meet at Mayfair Convention.

“Our Govt will continue to work towards the poor. We make sure to give maximum benefits to the common people”, said Gadkari.

“In next five years, Rs 50,000cr will be invested in Paradip Port. I will try to make sure that it becomes the World’s best port”, he added.

“Centre aims to increase annual coal production of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) to 300 MT”, said the Union Minister.

Nitin Gadkari quoted John F. Kennedy, saying “American roads are not good because America is rich, but America is rich because American roads are good.” We adopt the same concept in India to develop our country, he said.

“I will invest Rs 2 lakh crore in ‪#‎Odisha‬ on various projects in 5 years. Note it down, I will be answerable to you”, he said.
