Winter Session Of Odisha Assembly Commences

The winter session of the Odisha Assembly commenced from Friday under strict COVID guidelines.

The House will function for four and half hours daily while the Question Hour will be skipped.

Earlier, an all-party meeting was convened by Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro on November 18.

All the members and staff of the Assembly were tested for COVID-19 infected prior to the functioning of the House.

On the first day, the Interim budget will be tabled.

The Assembly Session started with obituary references to the departed leaders and COVID warriors. The session has been adjourned till 3pm.
