Woman dies of ‘SHOCK’ during NH-5 Blockade by Vani Vihar Students

In a shocking development, which triggered a massive debate in Odisha today, a lady died of asphyxia, as she got suffocated inside her car during the NH-5 blockade by Vani Vihar students in Bhubaneswar today in protest against the cancellation of Student Union Polls.

The lady, identified as Suman Sharma (29) from Ranchi, was working as a Teacher at a private school. She got stuck on the road while on the way to her house. When the irate students rushed towards her car, she suddenly fell unconscious.

The police personnel brought her out of the car by breaking open the glasses. She was rushed to Capital Hospital where she was declared brought dead. Her postmortem will be conducted tomorrow.

The striking students later withdrew their road blockade. DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said that the lady might have died of shock when the students rushed towards her car.
