Woman Found Hanging From Ceiling In The Capital City

Tension gripped at Saliasahi area in Bhubaneswar after a dead body of a woman was found hanging from the ceiling of her house.

The woman has been identified as Banita Sahu and 27 years old at the time of her death.

Information from the neighbours state that in the morning Banita was involved in a heated exchange of words with her husband and later when her husband left for work, she locked herself in a room. The couple stayed in a rented accommodation in the area.

On being informed, Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for postmortem.

Although the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected to be a case of suicide. A case has been registered and probe is underway.
