Woman lodges rape complaint against OSAP Jawan in Gajapati Dist

ONI Bureau: A jawan of the Orissa State Armed Police (OSAP) was allegedly raped a woman in Rayagada village of Gajapati district when her husband had gone to Andhra Pradesh for some urgent work on January 16.

The OSAP Jawan, identified as Ishwar Mali, who works at R.Udayagiri police station threatened to kill her if she discloses the matter to anyone, she alleged.

In this regard though the woman filed a complaint at the Rayagada police station on January 20, no step has so far been taken by the police and the Jawan is yet to be arrested.
