Yaad Karo Kurbani: Dharmendra Pradhan pays Tribute to Paika Warrior Bakshi Jagabandhu

As part of the BJP’s “70 Saal Azadi – Zara Yaad Karo Kurbani” programme, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday offered floral tributes to freedom fighter and great Paika Warrior Bakshi Jagabandhu at his native place Gadarodanga in Odisha’s Puri district.

The Union Minister also met the descendants of the legendary freedom fighter at his village.

Addressing the crowd gathered at Gadarodanga, Pradhan said, he proposed the Government to set up a State of Art Museum on Paika Rebellion. He also proposed to rename Puri-Satapada Highway as Baxi Jagabandhu Highway.

Many Congress activists including former Zilla Parishad members, Sarpanches were also present to welcome the Minister.

The Minister along with thousands of youths, party workers also took out a bike rally from Mangalaghat at Gadarodanga as part of the Tiranga Yatra.
