Youth killed near Pipili during Ganesha Idol Immersion

Tension prevailed at Majhipur village of Pipili, as a youth was killed yesterday during the clashes over Ganesha Idol immersion. The angry protesters torched three bikes. At least two platoons of police forces have been deployed in the area.

Earlier, at least 10 people were injured in a group clash at Nimabasant village in Puri district. The clashes were attributed to rivalry over Ganesha Idol immersion. A police vehicle and two bikes were torched. One platoon of police forces has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.
