Zilla Adivasi Mahasangh gherao Malkangiri Collectorate over JE Deaths

The Zilla Adivasi Samaj Mahasangh on Wednesday gheraoed the district Collector’s office protesting  the deaths of over 95 kids due to Japanese Encephalitis in Malkangiri district.

The Mahasangh demanded a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the family members of each child who died due to the Encephalitis disease.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the Mahasangha has called Malkangiri bandh accusing the state government of failing to tackle spread of the vector-borne disease.

In this connection, the Mahasangha will submit a memorandum addressing to the President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
