One Detained for Attack on OPCC Chief Niranjan Patnaik

One person has been detained for questioning in the attack on OPCC Chief Niranjan Patnaik last night. The identity of the person has been revealed as Sanjay Mohanty.

OPCC Chief Niranjan Patnaik was in Keonjhar district when his vehicle was intercepted near Kashipur. The miscreants allegedly were in inebriated state and assaulted his driver and security personnel.

Meanwhile, OPCC Chief alleged that BJP ‘s youth wing was behind the assault. In a series of tweets, he lashed out at the party for being ‘coward.’

Last night, on my way to Keonjhar, my car was attacked by miscreants. They thrashed my driver and PSO. An FIR was lodged with the police. I was shocked to know that the miscreants were members of BJP’s Youth Wing.(1/4)
