2015 World Cup: Zimbabwe beat UAE by 4 Wickets

Zimbabwe registered their first victory in 2015 World Cup after they defeated United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 4 wickets in a Pool B match. Zimbabwe had lost to South Africa in the first match. UAE had scored 285/7 in 50 overs, thanks to sloppy fielding by the Zimbabwe players.

Andri Berenger (22), Krishnachandran Karate (34), Khurram Khan (45), Swapnil Patil (32), Shaiman Anwar (67), Amjad Javed (25*) and Mohammad Naveed (23*) were the top scorers. For Zimbabwe, Tendai Chatara took three wickets, while Solomon Mire and Sean Williams took two wickets.

Zimbabwe reached 286/6 in 48 ovvers to win the match by 4 wickets. Sikandar Raza (46), Regis Chakabva (35), Brendan Taylor (47), Sean Williams (76*) ad Craig Irvine (42) were the top scorers. For UAE, Mohammad Tauqir took two wickets. Sean Williams was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
