3rd Test: Sri Lanka get 2 Early Wickets, Rain halts Play

After winning the toss and elected to bowl first on a grassy pitch, Sri Lanka put India in trouble by removing KL Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane early. Cheteshawar Pujara and Virat Kohli led the fightback before rain stopped play.

When rain haled the game, India were 50/2. Kohli is batting on 14, while Pujara is on 19. For Sri Lanka, Dhammika and Pradeep took a wicket each. The play was called off for the day on Day 1 after the umpires found the outfield unfit to resume the game.

Both teams are levelled at 1-1. If India win this match, they will win a series in Sri Lanka after a long gap of 22 years.
