Afghanistan stun West Indies in inconsequential T20 World Cup Tie

It was a battle of David vs Goliath. And, Afghanistan pulled off a sensational thriller against the mighty West Indies, as they won by 6 runs in a match, that had no bearing on T20 World Cup, but became historic for the Afghans. West Indies have already qualified for the semis with three consecutive wins.

Afghanistan scored 123/7 in 20 overs. Najibullah was the top scorer with 48*. Mohammad Shahzad scored 24. Badree took three wickets, while Russell took two wickets.

In reply, West Indies could manage 117/8 in 20 overs and lost the match by 6 runs. Dwayne Bravo was the top scorer at 28. Charles scored 22. Nabi and Rashid Khan took two wickets each. Najibullah was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
