Athlete OP Jaisha tests positive for H1N1 Swine Flu

Marathoner OP Jaisha who stirred an hornet’s nest with her startling claims that she was denied water or any drinks during the race, but later got exposed by her fellow runner Kavita Raut and Coach, has tested positive for H1N1 Swine Flu.

Earlier, Sudha Singh, who participated in 3000m Steeplechase, but could not take part in the Marathon due to ill health, tested positive for H1N1.

Jaisha needs a week’s rest, as she is undergoing medication. Since Jaisha is not allowed to travel, the probe into the allegations of official apathy levelled by her will be delayed. Sports Minister Vijay Goel had set up a two-member panel consisting of Onkar Kedia, Joint Secretary (Sports) and Vivek Narayan, Director (Sports) to inquire into her allegations.
