Australia beat Germany 3-0 to reach HWL 2017 Final

ONI Bureau: Australia took yet another step towards glory, as they crushed Germany 3-0 in the second semifinal at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar to enter the final of Hockey World League 2017.

Australia will now take on World No. 1 and Olympic Champion Argentina in the final. Argentina had defeated India 1-0 in the thriller in the first semifinal yesterday.

India will now take on Germany in the Bronze medal match. India had won a Bronze in the last edition of the HWL too. In the league stage this year, India and Germany played a 1-1 draw.

Earlier, the Netherlands beat England 1-0 to finish 7th in the Hockey World League. Belgium beat Spain 1-0 to secure 5th spot.
