Ball-tampering scandal: Australia Captain Steve Smith banned for one Test

ONI Bureau: Australian cricket captain Steve Smith was on Sunday handed a one-Test ban for his role in a ball-tampering scandal that has outraged the country.

The Australian players Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft confessed to have attempted ball tampering during the third day’s play in the Cape Town Test against South Africa.

Smith was penalised by the International Cricket Council (ICC), which also fined his entire match fee on Sunday.
