Centurion Test evenly poised on Day 3

ONI Bureau: The second Test match between India and South Africa is now evenly poised at the end of Day 3. South Africa have now extended the lead to 118 with 8 wickets in hand.

Earlier, India bowled out for 307 in reply to South Africa’s first innings score of 335. Kohli made 153, while Vijay (46) and Ashwin (38) were the other top contributors. For South Africa, Morne Morkel took 4 wickets.

In the second innings, South Africa lost Markram and Hashim Amla with just 3 runs on board. Bumrah took both the wickets. However, Dean Elgar (36*) and AB de Villiers (50*) prevented further damage and took the score to 90/2 at stumps.

South Africa would be looking forward to extend the lead to 300+, while India would be eyeing to restrict them at 250 or so. It would be a great contest between the bat and ball on Day 4.
