Chigumbura’s 104* in vain, as India beat Zimbabwe by 4 Runs

India registered a narrow win over Zimbabwe to take 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Elton Chigumbura scored 104* off 101 balls, while Masakazada (34), Raza (37) and Cremer (27) were the other top scorers.

Chasing a victory target of 256, Zimbabwe finished at 251/7 in 50 overs and lost the match by 4 runs. For India, Binny and Patel took two wickets each.

India had posted 255/6 in 50 overs, thanks to Ambati Rayudu (124*), Rahane (34) and Stuart Binny (77) were the top scorers. Donald Tiripano and Chibhabha took two wickets each. Stuart Binny was declared ‘Man of the Match’ for his all-round performance.
