HIL: Kalinga Lancers defeat Punjab Warriors 6-5

Kalinga Lancers had defeated Jaypee Punjab Warriors, a 6-5 victory against the defending champions in the fifth edition of the Hockey India League (HIL) held at Kalinga stadium in Bhubaneshwar on Friday.

German Stalwart Moritz Fuerste struck twice while SK Uthappa and Glenn Turner’s field goals handed Kalinga Lancers a victory over the Punjab Warriors.

After six matches, Kalinga Lancers with 20 points are at the top of the points table.
