HWC 2018: Germany beat Pakistan 1-0

ONI Bureau: Germany secured their first victory in Hockey World Cup 2018 at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, but Pakistan made sure they fight till the end. The1-0 scoreline showed it was not an easy ride for the European team.

Marco Miltkau scored the lone goal of the match in the 36th minute. Both teams tried hard, but failed to convert. Mats Grambusch of Germany was declared ‘Player of the Match’.

In the Pool D, Netherlands and Germany have 3 points each, while Pakistan and Malaysia lost their opening matches.
