Hyderabad Test: Roston Chase shines, as West Indies end Day 1 at 295/7

ONI Bureau: Roston Chase remains unbeaten on 98 at the end of 1st day’s play in the second Test match in Hyderabad, as the West Indies finished at 295/7. We are eying 400 runs in the first innings, says their Coach.

Earlier, West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first. Apart from Chase, Shai Hope (36), Dowrich (30) and Jason Holder (52) were the other top scorers. For India, Umesh Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets each.

Mohammed Shami is not playing in this Test. Shardul Thakul made his debut today. However, he got just 1.4 overs to bowl before leaving the field due to groin injury. It’s uncertain whether he could take the field again or not.
