India beat Zimbabwe by 83 Runs, clinch ODI Series 3-0

The young Indian team did a very good job to beat Zimbabwe by 83 runs in the third ODI and make a clean sweep to clinch the series 3-0. That helped India retain the No.2 spot in ICC ODI rankings.

Earlier, Zimbabwe won the toss for third time in a row and put Indian into bat. Kedar Jadhav scored his maiden ODI hundred, while debutant Manish Pandey played a magnificent knock of 71 to help India reach 276/5 in 50 overs. Jadhav remained unbeaten on 105 off 87 balls. Uthappa (31) was the other top contributor. For Zimbabwe, Neville Madziva took two wickets.

Zimbabwe stated well, but lost he way in the middle to bowl out for 193 in 42.4 overs. Chibhabha continued with his good form, as he scored a fine 82. Chakabva (27) and Mutumbami (22) were the other contributors. For India, Stuart Binny took three wickets, while Mohit Sharma, Axar Parel and Harbhajan Singh took two wickets each.

Kedar Jadhav was declared ‘Man of the Match’. Ambati Rayudu was declared ‘Man of the Series’ although he did not play in the third ODI.
