ONI Bureau: Despite losing the first two Test matches in the beginning of the tour, India bounced back to win the third and final Test and won the ODI series 5-1. They ended the tour on a high by clinching the T20I series 2-1.
In the third and final T20I match last night, India beat South Africa by 7 runs in a thriller.
Put into bat first, India scored 172/7 in 20 overs. Dhawan (47) and Raina (43) were the top scorers. Junior Dala took 3 wickets, while Chris Morris took 2 wickets.
In reply, South Africa tried hard, but fell short of the target by 7 runs as they finished at 165/6. Duminy (55) and Jonker (49) were the top scorers. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 2 wickets for India.
Suresh Raina was declared ‘Man of the Match’, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar was declared ‘Player of the Series’.
