India is placed strong in Adelaide Test

ONI Bureau: Team India strengthened their position in the first Test match against Australia in Adelaide Test, as they finished Day 3 at 151/3 – lead by 166 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara still holds the fort.

Earlier, Australia bowled out for 235 in the first innings in reply to India’s 250. Travis Head was the top scorer with 72. Peter Handscomb scored 34. Marcus Harris (26) and Usman Khawaja (28) were the other contributors. Nathan Lyon remained unbeaten on 24. For India, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets each. Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami took 2 wickets each.

India are currently at 151/3. Lokesh Rahul made 44, while Kohli scored 34. Pujara is batting on 40. If India extend the lead to 275-300, Australia may find it tough to chase the target in the last innings.
