India sense Victory in Adelaide Test

ONI Bureau: Team India which squandered the opportunity to extend their lead further, may still walk away with a victory in Adelaide Test against Australia. The game is heavily tilted in India’s favour at the end of 4th day’s play.

Chasing a victory target of 323, Australia finished Day 4 at 104/4 – trailing by 218 runs. It won’t be easy for the Kangaroos to get 219 runs on the 5th and final day with 4 of the their top batsmen in the pavilion.

Aaron Finch, Marcus Harris (26), Usman Khawaja and Peter Handscomb have been dismissed. Shaun Marsh is batting on 31. For India, Ashwin and Shami have taken two wickets each.

Earlier, India slumped to 307 all out from 303/6, but took a lead of 322, which is not easy to chase on this wicket. For India, Rahul (44), Pujara (71), Kohli (34), Rahane (70) and Rishabh Pant (28) were the top scorers. Lyon took 6 wickets for Australia, while Starc took 3.

India had scored 250 in the first innings, while Australia were out for 235.
