IPL 2020: At least 10 members of Chennai Super Kings test positive for COVID-19

At least ten members of the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings have tested positive for COVID-19. One Indian bowler is reported among the list. The team’s quarantine period has now been extended till September 1.

The IPL will be held in UAE this year and the teams have reached the venue. The IPL players were to undergo three COVID-19 tests on first, third and sixth day. The bowler and the support staff were found to be positive in the third test.

The team’s preparation for IPL has now taken a hit.

The team has now undergone a fourth test for COVID-19, the results of which will be known on Saturday.

IPL is scheduled to begin on September 19, in which the last year’s runner-up Chennai Super Kings are expected to face defending champions Mumbai Indians.
