IPL 8: Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians by 7 Wickets

The Mumbai Indians suffered their third successive defeat in IPL 8, while Rajasthan Royals registered their third consecutive win this season. Mumbai’ misfortune in IPL 8 continued and they are yet to get the elusive victory.

Mumbai scored 164/5, riding on a 104 run fourth wicket partnership between Kieron Pollard (70) and Corey Anderson (50). Rohit Sharma failed yet again and was out for a duck.

In reply, the Rajasthan Royals got to 165/3 with five balls to spare at the Sardar Patel stadium. Steven Smith remained not out on 73. Ajinkya Rahane scored 46. Smith was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
