Juventus to play in Melbourne in July

Turin, Dec 18: Italian football champions Juventus have announced that they will travel to Melbourne to play in July’s International Champions Cup as part of their pre-season training during the summer.

Returning to Australia for the second time in three years, Juventus are scheduled to contest the pre-season trophy with English Premier League (EPL) outfit Tottenham Hotspur and local side Melbourne Victory on July 23 and 26 2016, respectively, Juventus said on Thursday.

“The trip Down Under represents the perfect opportunity for the champions to put on a show for their Australian public once more and to discover a different part of the country, having spent a magical few weeks in Sydney in 2014,” Juventus said in a statement.  (IANS)
