K Srikanth wins French Open Super Series Badminton Title

Insight Bureau: Kidambi Srikanth beat Japanese Kenta Nishimoto 21-14, 21-13 in Paris to win the French Open Super Series crown – his 4th Super Series title of the year, a record for India.

Overall, it was Srikanth’s 6th Super Series title. He is just behind Saina Nehwal, who has 10 titles to her credit.

The 24-year-old Srikanth also became the 4th men’s singles player to win 4 or more Super Series titles in a calendar year.
