Kohli hits 34th ODI Hundred, makes it 3-0 for India

ONI Bureau: Virat Kohli scored his 34th ODI hundred and 2nd of the series, as India took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the six-match series against South Africa. India won by 124 runs in yet another one-sided game. They had won the 1st ODI by 6 wickets and the 2nd one by 9 wickets.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and elected to field first. India posted 303/6 in 50 overs, thanks to Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 160 off 159 balls with 12 boundaries and 2 sixes. Shikhar Dhawan scored 76. For South Africa, Duminy took 2 wickets.

South Africa lost Hashim Amla early, but Markram (32) and Duminy (51) tried to rebuild the innings. However, Indian bowlers continued to dominate and finally bowled them out for just 179 in 40 overs. David Miller contributed 25. For India, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets. Virat Kohli was declared ‘Player of the Series’.
