Legalise Betting and Gambling in Sports, recommends Law Commission

ONI Bureau: In a bid to use as a source of foreign direct investment, the The Law Commission on Thursday recommended that gambling and betting in sports such as cricket should be allowed as activities because atopping people from gambling is impossible.

The commission has recommended making the entire operation cashless and the mandatory usage of Aadhaar or PAN card to curb any chances of money laundering and can use as the revenue for public welfare activities.
