Medal table of 18th Asian Games

ONI Bureau:  The 18th Asian Games came to a close at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta on Sunday, but the Games will be long remembered for showcasing the energy of Asia, the drive for world peace and host Indonesia’s passion.

The two-week, 40-sport Asian Games has been a great athletic success, witnessing six world records highlighted by Chinese swimmer Liu Xiang’s stunning performance in the women’s 50m backstroke, reports Xinhua news agency.

Following is the top-10 positions of the medal table at the 18th Asian Games after the conclusion of competitions on Sunday, (tabulated under delegations, gold, silver, bronze and total). With 15 gold, 24 silver and 30 bronze, India‘s medal tally stood at 69.
