Novak Djokovic beats Roger Federer to win U.S. Open Men’s Singles

DjokovicNovak Djokovic justified his No. 1 position by defeating Roger Federer 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 in the final to win U.S. Open Men’s Singles Title. It was his third Grand Slam title of 2015 and 10th career major.

Federer (34), who sought to become the oldest US Open champion in 45 years, fought hard to win the second set, but conceded defeat in the next two sets. Federer, a 17-time Grand Slam champion, had last won a Grand Slam in 2012 with Wimbledon Open.

Djokovic had won Australian Open and Wimbledon Open in 2015.
