Olympic Bronze Medalist Sakshi Malik gets Grand Welcome

Wrestler Sakshi Malik, who made India proud by winning a Bronze medal at Rio Olympics, has been given a grand welcome upon arrival in New Delhi today. He was later taken to Bahadurgarh for a felicitation programme by the Haryana Government.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Airport to greet Sakshi. “It’s a great feeling. The reception I got was amazing. It’s a proud moment for me. The entire country stood by me. I want to thank all”, said Sakshi.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, felicitated Sakshi at Bahadurgarh in Jhajjar district. He appointed her as the Brand Ambassador of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign. A cheque of Rs 2.5 crore was presented to the Wrestler. Sakshi will later travel to her village Mokhra Khas in Rohtak district.
