Ramkumar Ramanathan loses opener in Marseille tennis

Marseille, Feb 17: Indian tennis player Ramkumar Ramanathan suffered a first round exit at the 596,790-euro Open 13 when he lost to Germany’s Mischa Zverev in straight sets on the Palais des sports de Marseille hard courts here.

Qualifier Zverev needed only an hour and 27 minutes to beat the 21-year-old Chennai resident 6-2, 7-5 on Tuesday. (IANS)
