Rio 2016: Shuttler PV Sindhu reaches in Semi-finals

PV SindhuAce shuttler P. V. Sindhu is one win away from winning an Olympic medal at Rio 2016 games. Twenty-one-year-old Indian badminton player upset World No-2, China’s Wang Yihan in the women’s singles quarter final on Tuesday.

Sindhu defeated Wang 22-20, 21-19 in a 54-minute match. “This is also Rio Olympics, it’s a very different feeling. It’s one of the best moments. I hope there will be many more to come”, she said after the match.

Sindhu, who has been training under former international player P Gopichand, will face Japanese player Nozomi Okuhara in the semi-finals on Thursday.
