Roshan Kumar, Seshadeep Shine, Odish beat Mumbai in T20

P Roshan Kumar Rao, the youngster from Jharigaon village of Nabarangpur district, played an impressive knock of 48 off 34 balls with 6 boundaries and a six, as Odisha defeated second string Mumbai team by 17 runs in Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Super League.

Roshan Kumar, who is a wicketkeeper batsman, opened the innings and did not disappoint the team. He got due support from Govind Podder (24) and Suryakant (20). Odisha posted 125/8 in 15 overs. For Mumbai, Rohan Raje took three wickets, while Abhishek Raut took two wickets.

Chasing a victory target of 126, Mumbai bowled out for 108 in 14.4 overs and lost the match by 17 runs. Debutant Seshadeep Patra wreaked havoc in Mumbai batting order and took five wickets. Deepak Behera took two wickets. Mumbai sent a second string team to the T20, as most of its players are busy preparing for IPL 8.
