Sania Mirza, Martina Hingis win US Open Women’s Doubles Title

A day after Martina Hingis helped Leander Paes win the U.S. Open Mixed Doubles title 2015, she paired with Sania Mirza to win the U.S. Open Women’ Doubles title – their second Women’s Doubles Grand Slam this year. Earlier, Sania and Hingis had won the Wimbledon Title in July 2015.

Sania and Martina beat Dellacqua/Shvedova 6-3, 6-3 in the final. They celebrated their win at the Flushing Meadows in New York. It was a historic achievement indeed!

Sania Mirza was recently awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award.
