South Africa continues to dominate Cape Town Test

ONI Bureau: The Proteas took a crucial first innings lead of 77 runs in the Cape Town Test against India and also batted well in the second innings to stretch the lead to 142 at Stumps on Day 2.

Earlier, India managed to score 209 in the first innings, thanks to Hardik Pandya’s 93. Pujara (26) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (25) were the other contributors. At one stage, India were 92/7. For South Africa, Philander and Rabada took 3 wickets each, while Steyn and Morkel took 2 wickets each.

South Africa, which scored 286 in the first innings, finished at 65/2 at close. Markram (34) and Elgar (25) were dismissed after a solid partnership of 52. Hardik Pandya took both the wickets.
