Virat Kohli breaks Tendulkar’s record to score fastest 10,000 ODI Runs

ONI Bureau:  India captain Virat Kohli created another record today, surpassed Sachin Tendulkar’s record of being the fastest batsman to achieve 10,000 ODI runs. Kohli scored his 10,000 runs in the 2nd ODI against West Indies on Wednesday.

Kohli became the 13th cricketer to enter the elusive club in his 205th innings. He became the fifth Indian to reach the 10,000 mark in ODIs after Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni.

While, Sachin Tendulkar achieved this feat in 259 innings, Kohli has achieved this feat in 204 innings.

In the second ODI against the West Indies in Vizag, India posted 321/6 in 50 overs. Virat Kohli hit his 37th ODI hundred and remained unbeaten on 157. Ambati Rayudu scored 73. Ashley Nurse and Obed McCoy took two wickets each.
