Women’s World Boxing Championship: Mary Kom creates history with 6th Gold medal

ONI Bureau:  Five-time world champion MC Mary Kom on Saturday created history by clinching sixth gold medal at the Women’s World boxing Championship in New Delhi.

Mary Kom defeated Hanna Okhota of Ukraine 5-0 in 48 Kg final to clinch sixth gold medal.

The Indian Olympic boxer won gold medal at the Asian Women’s Boxing Championship in Kazakhstan in 2010 – a 48kg category and became first Indian Woman Boxer to win Gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
